We do sell work’s on several platforms, and some editions may be available on one platform, but not on our website. This is by design as other platforms may allow us certain liberties, but to sell those products on our website may incumber the buyer.
A good example of this is framed editions. We offer framed editions on Artsy, but not on our website. These editions require extensive packaging and are usually oddly sized leading to high shipping costs. Using Artsy to sell framed works allows collectors to pay lower shipping rates through our partner, than to pay higher shipping rates on our website.
We work with UPS/USPS to provide live rates for shipping. USPS is not available for all items on our website. If you think you were over charged for shipping at check out, please reach out to us, and if we find that you were overcharged, we will refund the difference.
Please keep in mind, all shipments are fully insured, so if you are purchasing a high value item, the shipping cost may reflect the price of insuring the shipment.
All of our Original Works, and Fine Art Prints are photographed by us in studio. This gives all prospective buyers confidence in seeing exactly what they are buying. We take actual photographs of our products whenever possible, and try to avoid using stock images.
Some items on our site do have stock images. This common with items in our Sculpture, and Home Decor & More Categories.
When technology was less advanced in the early days of printmaking the first prints of an edition were of a higher quality. Re-using printing plates would gradually wear them down, causing a decline in quality throughout the edition’s production. Traditionally, the artists would keep these prints for themselves.
Now that printing technology has advanced the quality of a print is no longer a concern. Each print in a giclée or off-set lithograph edition is identical. Today, Artist’s Proofs are exactly the same as numbered copies of the print. Sometimes the artist creates an AP as a working trial. These are likely to have extra annotations, notes etc, which show the work’s progress. It is arguably more desirable to own an AP. Partly because of tradition, but mainly because there are fewer APs within an edition which heightens their desirability.
The number of APs in an edition should not surpass more than 10%. Due to this restricted supply, they are usually priced slightly higher than other prints.
As the name suggests, a Printer’s Proof is a print given to the printer (s) to thank them for their work. The number of PPs in an edition can vary depending on how many craftsmen were involved in the production.
PPs are similar to APs in that they are pulled outside of the regular edition and there is fewer of them. However, PPs are normally even more rare than APs, which makes them slightly more valuable.
In short, edition numbers are covered to protect the identity of the original purchaser. Some Galleries offer editions that have no-resale agreements as long as 3-5 years. If these agreements are broken, the seller can be blacklisted and blocked from buying any new works by that artist in the future. While we do not condone breaking of any agreements, circumstances may force collectors to sell or downsize all or parts of their collection.

Provenance & Authenticity
Original Works, Fine Art Prints, Sculptures, and some Home Decor items we sell include provenance that help establish the selected work’s authenticity and give insight into its history.
We have established three categories of provenance to help our clients identify what kind of provenance they can expect to be included with their purchase. If you have any questions about what will be included with work please contact us.
Works with P3 Level Provenance do not have a documented history of ownership and may have passed through the hands of multiple collectors, thus making obtaining the original invoice nearly impossible. These works are sold with a provenance report that includes:
- A Detailed Description of The Work
- High-Resolution Photographs
- Artist Biography
- Condition Report
- Gallery Invoice
- Bill of Sale
Works with P2 Level Provenance do not have original purchase documentation, but do include an Artist or Publisher issued COA. These works may have been in multiple collections and may not have a clear history of ownership (typical of older works). These works are sold with a provenance report that includes:
- A Detailed Description of The Work
- High-Resolution Photographs
- Artist Biography
- Condition Report
- Gallery Invoice
- Bill of Sale
- Artist / Publisher COA
Works with P1 Level Provenance have a documented history of ownership. These works are obtained by the gallery by the Artist or Publisher, or transferred to the gallery by the original purchaser. These works are sold with a provenance report that includes:
- A Detailed Description of The Work
- High-Resolution Photographs
- Artist Biography
- Condition Report
- Gallery Invoice
- Bill of Sale
- Copy of Original Purchase Documents
- Statement from Original Purchaser (Completed at the discretion of original owner)
- Ownership History
