About Hiroya Kurata

Born in Japan, artist Hiroya Kurata is currently based in New York, where he lives with his wife and two kids. He captures snapshots of time spent with his family in his gestural, whimsical style, offering symbols of hope in the midst of a chaotic and challenging year. Numerous key galleries and museums such as Hollis Taggart, Southport have featured Hiroya Kurata’s work in the past.
